Larry De Dymott - Southwest Representative

Larry De Dymott is a native of Joplin, Missouri. He attended Missouri Southern State College, the University of Arkansas, and graduated from Oral Roberts University with a B.A. in Theology and a minor in  Sacred Music. He has done work toward a Masters Degree at Texas A&M University - Commerce. He currently serves as Director of Music Ministries and Organist at First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, Arkansas, where he directs 3 handbell choirs, 3 vocal choirs, and accompanies the Bethany Singers. He has been employed at the church for thirteen years. Prior to coming to First United Methodist Church, he served from 1993 - 2002 as organist at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, where he is a member. He also served as Assistant Organist at St. Edward Catholic Church from 1999 - 2002. He has taught piano and organ in the Texarkana College Community Music School since 1998, and is an adjunct faculty member for organ instruction. Mr. Dymott is a member of Texarkana Music Teachers Association, Wednesday Music Club (NFMC), National Guild of Piano Teachers and serves on the Arkansas Handbell Musicians of America State Board. His hobby, and occasional avocation, is landscape design and maintenance.
